Routing and deliverability

When your recipients file is ready, your message created and your campaign tested, it is time to send it. There are two sending modes: Sarbacane allows you to set the parameters of a SMTP server or to send the campaign via dedicated professional servers (Professional Routing Service).

Sending via your own SMTP server

Set the parameters of the SMTP server of your choice (it could be your company's or ISP's ones for instance) and adjust the sending pace. You also may set a scheduled sending at the date and time you want.

Professional Routing Service

The Professional Routing Service is an option for Sarbacane 3 customers. It allows to complete your Sarbacane campaigns sending using servers developped by Sarbacane Software. This infrastructure has been purpose-built to accelerate and optimize the deliverability of your e-mailing campaigns.

Nowadays sending an e-mailing campaign in right terms is more and more complex.
On the sending side, Internet Service Providers (ISP) block or restrict more and more the access to their SMTP servers as soon as they detect a bulk mailing. This measure aims to fight against outgoing spams sent by many computers which are infected by a virus. This practice is spreading at the most of Internet Service Providers.

On the receiving side, these providers set up some more and more restrictive protocol barriers still in the same aim: fight against ingoing spams.
It's not unusual to observe a 50% to 60%-deliverability rate when customers use a misconfigured mail server or don't use authentication protocol.

Authentication
Our routing gateway uses the latest authentication procedures (Sender ID, SPF, Domain Keys, DKIM). These are often required to guarantee a good reception by many providers.

Privileged relationship
Thanks to the campaigns' approval and efforts in terms of bounces detection and sharing, the routing infrastructure set up by Sarbacane Software takes advantage of a privileged status with many Internet Service Providers. We maintain friendly relations with most of french and european providers, which increases the level of deliverability of our servers.

Acceleration of your sendings
The communication between Sarbacane 3 and the routing gateway is simplified. When you enable the service while sending, your campaign is compacted, crypted and sent in a few seconds to one of the Sarbacane Software's available servers. As soon as this is confirmed, you can close your Sarbacane software. You don't need to send your campaigns e-mail by e-mail anymore.

Automatically bounces management
Bounces (undeliverable e-mails) are detected while sending by the routing gateway. When Sarbacane 3 starts all the bounces addresses which were detected while sending via the Professional Routing Service are automatically downloaded and added to your filters. So wrong or obsolete addresses will be removed from your databases for your next sendings.

The Professional Routing Service is a specific function of Premium subscriptions. The number of routing credits varies according to the subscription you choose: it goes from 5,000 to 100,000 per month for monthly subscriptions and from 60,000 to 1,200,000 for annual subscriptions. If you need more please contact our sales department. Moreover, non-used credits of a monthly subscription will be automatically added to the next month's total number of credits.
