What type of SMS campaigns are there and how do I assign tags?

Properties of your SMS campaign

Start by naming your campaign.

The name of your campaign will not be visible to your recipients. It is only intended to easily identify your campaign among your other campaigns, as well as to give you an indication of the nature of it. Be as accurate and concise as possible. Example: "2018 summer sale - 2nd relaunch".

Tags are also used to identify your campaign. Like an email campaign, you can assign one or more tags to your campaign by clicking ""Edit"". You can create your own tags. This will allow you to easily find your campaign and analyze the statistics of a group of campaigns associated with a particular tag.

For example, if you manage campaigns for a store with multiple stores, you can tag each of your stores to measure the impact of your campaign on each store.

Before proceeding to the next step, you must select one of two possible SMS campaign types: marketing or notification."

Marketing

The SMS Marketing campaign is about SMS, the purpose of which is to promote an offer, to build customer loyalty or to carry out a marketing campaign in general.

From a legal point of view, sending a SMS marketing campaign is only allowed from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 20:30, and is prohibited on Sundays and public holidays.

Another legal point: this type of SMS requires the addition of a STOP message in the body of the message, in case the issuer of the SMS is personalized, in order to allow the user to be able to unsubscribe from the mailing list.

If the issuer is not personalized, a short code of type ""36XXX"" is displayed as the issuer of the SMS, and the contact receiving the SMS may unsubscribe by responding STOP directly. But it will not be necessary to display the word STOP at the end of the message.

If you choose the type SMS marketing AND you choose to customize the issuer of your SMS, Mailify will automatically add the word STOP at the end of your SMS and will automatically handle unsubscription requests from your contacts (if the case arises).

Notification

SMS notifications concern critical information (change of password, alerts, notifications of sending or receipt of orders, confirmations of appointments, etc ...).

This is often an SMS requested by the recipient (such as a confirmation code before placing an order), or a high value added service (a reminder of appointments for example).

In any case, these messages are not promotional in nature and are not considered "intrusive" for the recipient.

They do not require the addition of a STOP at the end of the SMS (whether the message issuer is personalized or not), and their sending is authorized 24 / 24h, 7/7 days and 365 days a year.
