To measure the opening of a message, Mailify inserts an image of 1 pixel on 1 pixel into the HTML content of each e-mail sent. The image file is hosted on a behavioral tracking server and the URL contains an encrypted parameter to identify the membership of the image (customer, campaign, recipient).
At the time of opening, the user's email software loads all the images in the message. The connection with the tracking server, through the image, allows the latter to record the information relating to the opening (date, customer, campaign, recipient, number of openings).
Finally, the tracking is attached to the email address in your database. If your email is transferred, the events related to this transfer (openings, clicks) will be automatically uploaded in the statistics for the original recipient of the campaign.
